Different examinations on both live and dead horses have shown that, whether sport, breeding, or leisure horses about, 80% of all horses are affected by gastric ulcers and gastritis.
One of the main causes is stress. Caution! There are different types of stress; physical, mental and dietary induced stress.
However, any kind of stress can trigger stomach illness and when combined they can have a serious effect.
When there is a tendency for recurring stomach problems FTS Gastric Firewall can be a great help, without having the disadvantages of medication which halts the production of pepsin and gastric acid (a certain level of pepsin and gastric acid is required for to process starch and proteins). Without this there are serious metabolism problems like with the liver and kidneys.
Use and effects of FTS Gastric Firewall:
Gastric Firewall is given already in the feed. It is sensible to administer it in the morning as the horse, as a rule, hasn’t eaten much over night and we can presume that stomach acidity has increased significantly.
Furthermore Gastric Firewall is recommended before stressful situations like long journeys and hard work.
Cetraria Islandica produces a strong protective slime, and together with our special pectin helps protect the stomach lining against further acidic attacks.
Sodium bicarbonate buffers the gastric acid, usually within sixty to ninety minutes of feeding.

Dosage:
In accordance with requirements, 50 g to 100 g per horse per day, in acute cases up to 300 g per day.
