Feeding/ Energy requirement guidelines for horses in work

1. The rations indicated here are sample rations only. They have been calculated in such a manner, as to allow the horse to fulfill its work in a relaxed state. Should the horse need a bit more more "go" be required, then increase the oats accordingly .The proportion of oats should not exceed even in extreme cases, a maximum of 30% of the total ration.

2. Feed the horse the amounts he actually requires in order to complete his work and maintain his ideal weight. Overfeeding will only put strain on its stomach and intestines, potentially it may cause stomach ulcers and metabolic problems. Should you be unsure, simply ask us. Hay ad lib protects against stomach ulcers.
